The Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing is located at the College of Nursing at the College of Dentistry, New York University. The mission of the College of Nursing, as an integral part of a research-one private university "in the public service", is to generate new knowledge and educate future nursing professionals who in turn, exemplify the highest standards of excellence in research, education and practice for a global society.  The vision for the NYU College of Nursing enterprise is a continuous progress in our scholarship excellence and innovations that advance humane and quality healthcare for all people.

NYU's College of Nursing is lead by Terry Fulmer, PhD, RN, FAAN, Dean and the Erline Perkins McGriff Professor.  Dean Fulmer, also co-director of the Hartford Institute, leads a visionary expansion that will enable the College of Nursing to address the healthcare needs of the 21st century with the same vigor characteristic of its rich history of over 70 years.
