The Hartford Institute For Geriatric Nursing is
inviting
Baccalaureate schools of nursing and staff development educators
at health care
facilities to become partners in a two-part Institute program
called Partners
for Dissemination of Best Practices in Care for Older
Adults.
This program provides both
leadership-development workshop
designs and curriculum and lesson plans.
Partners will receive an array of ready-made
materials that
include: a specific Implementation Manual for workshop designs
and lesson plans;
a 21-topic curriculum guide entitled Best Nursing in Older
Adults:
Incorporating Essential Gerontological Content into
Baccalaureate Education and
Staff Development; and a variety of teaching aids. In
addition, the
Institute provides technical assistance and encourages partners
to adapt all
materials to their needs.
This program has been endorsed by The
American Colleges
of Nursing (AACN), The National Nursing Staff
Development Organization
(NNSDO), The American Geriatrics Society (AGS), The
American Society on
Aging (ASA), The National League of Nursing (NLN), The
