Hartford Institute Gerontological Certification Review Course
The Hartford Institute Gerontological Nursing Certification Review course examines the fundamental knowledge about care of the older adult that the RN must master to be certified as a Gerontological Nurse by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), a subsidiary of the American Nurses Association.

The CNYGEC is a consortium of four academic partners committed to training a wide range of health and human service professionals and interdisciplinary faculty throughout New York State. The Core Day 3 and Elective podcasts are available for healthcare professionals and for those taking courses with the CNYGEC and working towards the Geriatric Scholar 40 hour certificate.
Clinical Teaching Modules
The Hartford Institute and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) have prepared two modules specifically created to help clinical nursing faculty teaching undergraduate nursing students in hospitals to integrate care of older adults.
Nursing Home Modules
These online learning modules, developed by the Hartford Institute and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, are designed to help faculty select and use nursing homes for undergraduate student clinical placement, with a special focus on nursing homes involved in resident-directed care and culture change.
Advance Practice Web Based Case Studies
These geriatric case studies have been constructed to mirror case studies typically used in nurse practitioner education, and thus to help faculty easily introduce geriatric concepts into the curriculum.
Elder Mistreatment Course
This module prepares health care professionals and allied health workers to understand and recognize the clinical indicators of elder mistreatment (EM) and the actions to take if they suspect elder mistreatment.
